Web Marketing Tips for Sweeping Service Companies

Category:

From a marketing perspective, the digital explosion fueled by the internet is the biggest change for sweeping service company owners since the birth of the yellow pages.  Properly conceived and implemented, a website is one of the most effective tools in your marketing arsenal.  With this said, it is easy to get complacent about your website, and like most things in life, complacency is never a good thing.

By explaining what we have learned from developing and implementing www.1800sweeper.com, we hope to arm all of our partners with helpful information that can be used to improve your individual company websites.

NPE 2014: The Lowdown on Ft. Lauderdale

Category:

Many of our partners left cold and snowy conditions earlier this month to attend the 2014 National Pavement Expo in sunny Ft. Lauderdale.  Those making the trip had ample time for networking, fellowship, and learning from some of the best in the business.  Ask some of your fellow partners for the most memorable moments and you’re bound to get a variety of answers.  For some, attending the round-tables meant picking up that one new idea that virtually paid for the trip.  Others found the Sweeper’s Night Out at The Ft. Lauderdale Antique Car Museum.  This event was special because we honored past NAPSA presidents and gave our thanks to some true giants of the industry…folks who helped to shape the future of the sweeping business.  Finally, there was the Friday night sunset cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway.

1-800-SWEEPER Partner Spotlight: Cleveland Area Parking Lot and Street Sweeping Company On The Move

Category:

Dennis Hiller and his sons, Jeff and Greg, of Southwest Sweeping have been sweeping Cleveland area streets and parking lots since 1974.  For those who know the sweeping business, when you think about Southwest, you think consistency…longevity…a family owned company that is in it for the long haul.  And if you ever stopped by to visit the Hiller’s at their old shop in Middleburg Heights, it was clear from go that they had been there a very long time.

We had an opportunity to meet up with the Hillers in Detroit at this year’s Sweeper Summit.  During the conversation, Greg casually mentioned that Southwest had moved into a new facility and asked us to make sure his address was updated in both his Cleveland Street Sweeping and Parking Lot Sweeping Landing Page and his directory listing.  While we were making the changes to Southwest’s contact information, it occurred to us that the news about their move belonged in our blog and in our newsletter too.

The Painted Picture: Thoughts on Sweeper Summit 2013

Category:

We have had a lot of positive feedback from partners who attended the 2013 Sweeper Summit in Detroit.  Some of this has come by word of mouth, and in other instances, folks have taken the time to write notes.  Michael Wagoner of Cantel Sweeping in Oregon had this to say:

Mike—

I am back in my office today and just beginning to review with my people some of the things that happened at the Sweeper Summit.  I have to tell you, I haven’t been this excited about the future of my business and our industry for some time.  Your vision (Painted Picture) for 1800Sweeper is coming to fruition and I wish to congratulate you for getting it to this level.  Our future is very bright and you deserve to take a bow.

Ok, now get back to work.

GREAT JOB!!!!

Michael’s comments and obvious enthusiasm caught our attention, so we decided to pick up the phone and ask him to expand on his thoughts and describe his journey from being cautiously optimistic and curious about 1-800-SWEEPER to becoming an advocate for our brand.
