Randy Hite - Piedmont Property Services

It’s been a busy few months with a lot of prospective member calls and presentations about the benefits and value of 1-800-SWEEPER.  In this post we would like to welcome Randy Hite of Piedmont Property Services.   Located in High Point, North Carolina, Piedmont Property Services, Inc. was founded in 2000 to bring the very best in complete property maintenance to central North Carolina. Randy’s business philosophy , “We take Pride in Your Property,” is demonstrated in each and every service his company provides. His goal is to offer quality, consistent, reliable, cost effective, one source property maintenance to property owners and managers in the triad and surrounding counties. Mike describes how the initial plan for a nationwide organization of sweeping service companies turned out to be even more beneficial than the founders imagined. Not only can independently-owned contractors compete for large accounts without depending on brokers who might not be as familiar with the business, but as a group 1-800-SWEEPER members have tremendous collective buying power resulting in preferential vendor pricing.

We went into the editing studio and did some enhancements.  One could argue you need dirt on the pavement for a sweeper truck to look happy…..but we swept the dirt…and the rest of the background away.

The last step was to incorporate the finished product into the animated header on the home page.  We chose to add this picture into the slide that discusses one of the benefits of local service.  Each 1-800-SWEEPER member understands relevant local environmental regulations as they relate to sweeper service, and they match their equipment accordingly to ensure both a great sweeping job and compliance too.

Gabe Vitale of C & L Sweeper Service received the 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award from the Shore Builders of Central New Jersey at the Ninth Annual Fame Awards.  This award recognizes Vitale’s continued dedication to growing the Shore Area homebuilding industry.  Vitale and his daughter Lauren were also honored with the Best Associate Member Social Media Marketing Campaign award.  C & L Sweeper uses Facebook (www.facebook.com/clsweeper), Twitter (@clsweeper), LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com/company/c-&-l-sweeper-&-pavement-maintanence) and a company blog (www.sweeping.com/blog) to promote their business.  C & L also sends targeted monthly e-blasts reminding customers and prospects of their service offerings.  On behalf of all the 1-800-SWEEPER member partners, we would like to congratulate Gabe, Lauren and the entire crew at C & L Sweeper Service.

Wells Sweeping - Sacramento, California

During the weeks leading up to this year’s National Pavement Expo, we asked 1-800-SWEEPER members to submit photos with our logo and number displayed on their sweepers.  Using 1-800-SWEEPER logos creates a billboard on wheels.  Potential customers in your local service area will see your sweeper trucks at job-sites…and it is easier to remember a number like 1-800-SWEEPER than a company name, or even a local phone number.  Placing our logo and 1-800-SWEEPER number on yours trucks adds to your existing marketing efforts, and all of the phone inquiries received from your local service area are routed to your company.

Getting back to NPE, we thought it would be fun to show a slide show of members displaying the logo and toll free number.  We received entries from all over the country and after careful deliberation, we are ready to announce the winners of this year’s photo contest.  Jay Wells and the crew at Wells Sweeping in Sacramento, California submitted a photo that will be incorporated into the animated header area of the 1-800-SWEEPER home page.  We would like to thank all who contributed photos for the contest and would like to remind members that using the 1-800-SWEEPER logo and number on all of your sweepers is a great idea…it may just help you land that great piece of new business too.  For more information about truck logos, please contact our member coordinator, Carolyn Bell.  If you haven’t already put the 1-800-SWEEPER number on your sweepers, get started today!
